I hope this is of help to anyone, if it doesn't work, I'm sorry but this is all I could find to fix my problem. Once it is update you should now have a new driver under Audio inputs and outputs, it should be called Headphones (VIA HD Audio), if you have this your headphones speakers should be working properly now. Step 6 - Right click that driver and click update. Sound is the most important element to any gaming experience, so it's important we get it right. Step 5 - You should now see a new Category with a driver that has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it. In this guide, we show you how to set up, switch to, and troubleshoot your new headset in Windows 10. Step 4 - Now that the driver is uninstalled, at the top of the window there should be an Action button, click it and click Scan for hardware changes.
If it refuses to uninstall give it a couple seconds and try again until it uninstalls. Step 3 - Right click VIA HD Audio and click uninstall. Step 2 - Under Sound, video, and game controller, there should be a driver named VIA HD Audio. After fiddling around a bit I might've found a solution and would like some to test it as well. I had an issue where the mic worked but no audio would come through. Alright so, I am using a turtle beach x12 headset on my desktop and I use the front jacks as plugins.
